Artist Biography
Artist Bio
I am a painter, metalsmith, and illustrator based in Denton, Texas. My work spans oil painting, sculpture, and jewelry, often exploring themes of resilience, identity, and personal history. Through color, texture, and material, I reflect on both my lived experiences and the environments that shaped me.
My practice began in childhood, creating with whatever I could find, from drawing to experimenting with makeshift materials. Today, that same spirit of resourcefulness informs my metalsmithing and large-scale paintings, which merge craft with narrative. My art has been exhibited across the University of North Texas campus and in community spaces like Sweetwater Coffee & Tea, and was recently featured in Beaver Magazine (Issue 12, Spring 2025).
As a juried finalist in the 64th Annual Voertman Student Art Competition and a participant in the Dallas Cowboys Minority Creative Workshop, I continue to grow my practice through both academic and professional opportunities. I hope my work not only pushes my own boundaries as an artist but also inspires young women and emerging artists to embrace their own creative voices.
